In the luxury crossover SUV market we find two of the most desirable cars, the Jaguar F-Pace versus the Range Rover Velar, both SUVs come from JLR, they share almost identical dimensions, and similar engines, yet, the styling is different; the Jaguar looks more rounded while the Velar which has a more square look. However, what really matters is that both SUVs have a lot of character.
The Jaguar and the Range Rover offer very similar engine options, however, the F-Type gets an extra 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 296 hp, and the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 is slightly different for each model as the F-Type’s has 40 hp more than the Velar’s.
For the Jaguar F-Type, the following engines are offered:

- 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 247 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque
- 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque
- 3.0-liter supercharged high-performance V6 with 380 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque
- 3.0-liter supercharged V8 with 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque
While the Range Rover Velar gets the following:

- 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 247 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque
- 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque
- 3.0-liter supercharged V8 with 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque
Both SUVs run on an Eight-Speed ZF automatic transmission and are equipped with all-wheel drive. They target similar consumers and are built in the same platform, as you might see in the video below, the main difference between them is the pricing, where the Velar is more expensive and in the exterior and interior design, where you can see that the interior of the Velar looks more upscale.
