Doug DeMuro had the privilege of reviewing the 2021 Dodge Durango Hellcat, yes, you’ve read that right, it’s a Hellcat-powered Durango.
This SUV packs a wicked 6.2-liter V8 Hellcat engine; as you can imagine, this thing might have some serious power output, and that’s the case as it produces 710 hp, and 645 lb-ft (874 Nm) of torque, making it the most powerful 3-row SUV ever made.
The Durango Hellcat comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system. It can speed up from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3,5 seconds, it can tow 8,700 pounds (3946 kg), and has a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
Some of the features that set it apart from the regular Durango are:
- More aggressive front fascia
- Front lip spoiler
- 2 huge dual exhausts
- A spoiler
- Bigger brakes
- Sportier suspension
- Alcantara, Nappa leather, and carbon fiber in the interior
Dodge will produce the Durango Hellcat for only 6 months in 2021, which will make it a very exclusive SUV. The price of the car starts at an MSRP of $80,995.
