Genesis is a young brand with good looking vehicles that denotes quality, and presence. They currently sell sedans and SUVs in North America, South Korea, and other parts of the world. You might have wondered who actually makes the Genesis SUVs.
Hyundai is the one who makes Genesis SUVs and Sedans
Genesis is the luxury division from Hyundai. Back in 2015, the Genesis brand established itself as an independent marque. Their first vehicle was released in 2017, the Genesis G90, and their cars are manufactured in Ulsan, South Korea.
In 2020, J.D. POWER awarded Genesis for being the most dependable automotive brand in North America.
An in 2022, the Korean brand ranked fourth in the J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study.
Genesis positions itself as a premium brand, some of its competitors are BMW, Lexus, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi. Genesis cars are built with advanced technological features, attention to detail, and high-quality materials.

Their vehicles come standard with lots of driver assistance systems, like the Highway Driving Assist II, with adaptive cruise control, lane centering, and lane-change assist.
Currently, Genesis has two SUVs in its lineup, the GV80 and the GV70.

The GV80 was the first SUV from the Korean brand, its flagship is the Genesis GV80 3.5T AWD, which packs a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. It can speed up from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.0 seconds.
Then, there is the Genesis GV70, a mid-size SUV that you can reserve on their website. The range-topping variant is the GV70 Sport, it’s powered by the same engine as the GV80 3.5T, a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 375 hp, and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. Its acceleration is better since the car is smaller and less heavier, allowing it to go from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 5.1 seconds.

The Korean automaker is releasing appealing vehicles at reasonable prices, like the GV80 which starts at $48,000 in its 2.5T RWD form. Genesis will be releasing new cars in the near future in North America, and they will be selling their vehicles soon in Europe and other parts of the world.
