The Cayenne is one of the most successful SUVs in the market, it comes in many different versions, and if you want to find out about the top speed of each Porsche Cayenne model we got you covered.

As you may know, when the Cayenne was first launched in 2002, it became a game-changer. It was the first premium SUV that was meant to be fun to drive so it quickly became popular.

Today, there are too many versions of the Cayenne, and the range is getting confusing.

Just so you get an idea, today Porsche has thirteen versions of the Cayenne for sale if we don’t count the Platinum versions.

If we counted the Platinum versions which don’t provide anything different in terms of engine and performance, we would be counting a total of 17 different versions of the Cayenne!

Note that the Cayenne is available in standard and coupe form, the coupe form came out in 2020, and even though you may have the same version for the standard and coupe, some of the specs may differ.

Top speed of the basic Porsche Cayenne

Starting with the standard entry-level Cayenne, this is the most basic version, which costs the least and it’s also the least powerful.

For the engine, it gets a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with 340 hp that is limited to a top speed of 152 mph (245 km/h) while the coupe version will reach a top speed of 150 mph (243 km/h).

Top speed of the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid

For those who don’t want to sacrifice performance for the sake of fuel consumption, Porsche has an answer, the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid.

The Cayenne E-Hybrid takes the 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 of the entry-level Cayenne but combines it with an electric motor to produce 462 hp.

You may expect this model to have a lower top speed than the entry-level Cayenne since electric motors considerably increase the weight of vehicles.

Add to it that many hybrid versions of different cars have a capped top speed to preserve range. However, the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is different.

The E-Hybrid’s top speed is limited to 157 mph (253 km/h) for both the standard and the coupe version.

Top speed of the Porsche Cayenne S

Having more power at your disposal is always great, and that’s what the Porsche Cayenne S provides compared with the entry-level Cayenne.

The Cayenne S is for those who need more power and don’t want to rely on an electric motor. It packs a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that can pump out 440 hp.

The SUV can reach a top speed of 164 mph (265 km/h) for the standard version and 163 mph (263 km/h) for the coupe version.

Top speed of the Porsche Cayenne GTS

The Porsche GTS models provide great driving dynamics and a power bump that makes the cars very enjoyable, they are meant to be fun.

And that’s what the Cayenne GTS is, as it fits a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 460 hp.

Both the standard and the coupe Cayenne GTS have a top speed of 167 mph (270 km/h).

Top speed of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo takes performance further by using a tuned GTS engine, a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 550 hp.

This power boost translates into a top speed for both models of 177 mph (286 km/h) for the standard and the coupe Cayenne Turbo.

Until not so long the Cayenne Turbo S was the most exclusive Cayenne model, and it was also among the most powerful SUVs in the world, but the competition caught up.

Nevertheless, the Turbo S still packs some serious power thanks to its combination of a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with an electric motor that combined produces 670 hp.

Both the standard and coupe versions can reach a top speed of 183 mph (295 hp).

Top speed of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT

The most radical Cayenne model ever made arrived to tease those people who wanted an SUV that would perform like a proper sports car, this is the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT.

Porsche tuned their 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 to produce a staggering 640 hp. Even though it isn’t as powerful as the Turbo S, you need to realize that the Turbo GT is way lighter since it’s not carrying a heavy battery.

The Cayenne Turbo GT is only available as a coupe, and its top speed is rated at 186 mph (300 km/h).
